Fashion is an incredibly expressive art form. I love thrifting and repurposing old clothes because you can completely reconstruct the visual impact of a item of clothing and its a good practice for conservational purposes.
Thrifting
-
business CASUAL
As you can see above one of my favorite ways to repurpose a piece of clothing is to dress down something classically dressy. Here I turned a men’s business button-up into a comfy, casual, beach cover-up.

Kindergardten Vibez
I was definitely iffy about buying this top since I’ve never really thought red was my color, but as soon as I paired it with dark wash denim I knew I had made the right choice. The color combo really makes me reminiscent of the late 90s early 2000s and I love it!!!!
-
Dainty
The ruffle sleeves on this fitted little top and the soft pink floral print make for an adorable look you can throw on with nearly anything.
-
Vest of the Vest
Instead of buying a fast fashion vest last fall when it was the trendy thing to do, I went to my local goodwill and came across this unique V-neck.
-
Sage
Another trendy style kept on a budget. When sage green was all the rage this thrifted piece did the charm.
-
Stain Glass Paint
My grandmother thrifted and bleach dyed the above jean jacket, she then gifted me some vibrant acrylics and what started out as a few doodles with a sharpie turned into a stained glass like pattern with bursting flowers and bright shades. The compliments I get on this piece when I wear it, are well worth the time.
-
Christmas Sweater
My best friend actually gifted me this sweater for Christmas. She purchased the sweater at a thrift store with me specifically in mind. I absolutely love the colors, stitching, and sleeves but the sentiment behind it is really what makes me love it.
-
School Skirt
I thrifted this skirt in an effort to try something new. I have never really been a skirt person but I ended up wearing the outfit above on my first day of Junior year.
-
Purple Plunge
Probably my favorite find ever. I absolutely love the lavender color, the fit, and the neckline of this dress shirt and with a light wash denim it feels very casual 90s.
-
Pearly White
This grandma-esc sweater vest comes to life with a little denim and a little love.
